FlexScan Weld Control (FWC) inspects weld seams on 3D point clouds. FlexScan Process Control (FPC) follows a production process through its measurements: geometry, weld, statistical process control, data and reports; a report opens the seam in Weld Control. The recordings are shown with permission.
My part, as R&D software engineer at LASS Technology (Dec 2023 - Dec 2024):
- With a colleague, rewrote the process-control and SPC software (FPC) and split it into an ingest and a display program when it slowed down.
- Wrote its keyword filter, the date partitioning of its tables, part of its charts and the daily LaTeX PDF report.
- Built the MATLAB side, the database and the 3D point cloud viewer of the weld inspection tool (FWC), and wrote both tools’ documentation.
